Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Winners receive up to $30,000 for 2-3 years of graduate study.
Funding is for graduate or professional schools in the United States or foreign countries.

Must be a junior interested in a career in the public sector.
Students in a five-year program may apply in their third or fourth year.
U.S. citizenship required.
Students must apply through FSO by the campus deadlines. Carnegie Mellon nominates up to four students through an internal competition that includes completing the online Truman application, policy proposal, recommendations and an interview.
May 1: Submit Registration Form found in the right hand box.
May-June: Work on application draft and research policy proposal ideas.
June-August: Revising drafts and developing policy proposal.
September-October: Working on drafts and securing recommendation letters.
November: Interviewing for campus nomination.
Winter break - February: working on final drafts and submitting to the foundation.
