The 2018 Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival is excited to launch a poster design competition in advance of its 12th season!

Each year, our festival has an annual theme that defines our contemporary social landscape. To further engage our community and our audiences with this annual theme, each year, we create a visual ‘face’ that represents that theme. Our 2018 season’s theme is Faces of (In)equality.

All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges with expertise in design and marketing. Entries are evaluated based on appeal, theme-inclusion, content, and marketability.

The selected poster will become the face of the Festival as it will appear on the cover of all our marketing and promotional materials, including posters, postcards, programs, website, trailer, t-shirts, and more. The winning artist will be announced in December 2017 and will be awarded a prize of $200.

To send your submission, please email the following to cynthia.n.tam@gmail.com with “CMU IFF Festival Poster” in the subject line.  The deadline has been extended to Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:59pm EST:
