Artificial Intelligence – what do we lack in making truly business-valuable patent analytics?

Giving participants feedback about the usage of various AI tools & technics (knowledge formalization, similarity search and other) through holistic pipeline of patent analytics production. Such patent analytics is implemented on a corporate level covering a broad set of technology management tasks: development and assessment of R&D programs, evaluation of R&D and investment proposals, development of diversification strategies, assessment of technology competitiveness and other strategic and operational tasks.

The presentation covers strengths and weaknesses of AI usage on different stages of patent analytics development (preferably on patent landscaping cases): knowledge modeling, technical analysis and revealing the hidden anomalies (insights).

The prospective areas of AI evolution will also be presented: ontologies, pattern recognition, named entity extraction and global disambiguation.

The presentation contains examples of patent analytics implementation for various industries: oil & gas, transport, power engineering and digital technologies (5g networks, user behavior analytics and quantum technologies).
