Armanios and Nock to take part in The Academic Minute

Engineering and Public Policy Associate Professor Daniel Armanios and Assistant Professor Destenie Nock will be featured on the nationally syndicated radio show The Academic Minute as part of Carnegie Mellon University's weeklong takeover of the program.

The Academic Minute is a two-and-a-half-minute daily module that features researchers from colleges and universities around the world, keeping listeners up-to-date on what’s new and exciting in the academy. Hosted by Dr. Lynn Pasquerella, President of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the show features a different professor each day, and listeners learn about groundbreaking research and how it helps us better understand the world around us.

Armanios will be featured on the show on August 17th discussing how infrastructure can keep people locked in the past. Nock will join the show on August 19th and discuss the energy equity gap. The full schedule of Carnegie Mellon University week will also include talks from professors from the departments of biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical and computing engineering.

The program airs on 70 stations around the United States and Canada. Listeners can tune in to the show on The Academic Minute's home station, WAMC, each weekday at 7:30 a.m and 3:56 p.m ET.
