EPP Faculty Analyze Political Issues on FiveThirtyEight.com

The statistics-focused blog FiveThirtyEight recently identified future issues of focus for presidential candidates, by performing an analysis of keywords found in C-SPAN transcripts. They then gathered experts to get feedback on these important issues.

In one chat, EPP professor Deborah Stine joined other science expert to examine the science and technology related topics mentioned most frequently by Presidential Candidate Donald Trump- military technologies, energy and space.

Erica Fuchs, who participated in the chat focused on issues important to Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton, discussed advanced manufacturing, funding, and overcoming innovation's "valley of death."
