Research

Casman's research encompasses evaluating the regulatory framework for emerging technologies, such as hydraulic fracturing, genetic engineering, and manmade nanomaterials. She is also works in the areas of water and health connections in developing countries, protection of water resources, infectious disease transmission dynamics, biotechnology policy, and microbial risk assessment.
