American-Made Solar Prize logo The Solar Prize is a $3 million prize competition designed to revitalize U.S. solar manufacturing through a series of contests and the development of a diverse and powerful support network that leverages national laboratories, energy incubators, and other resources across the country.

During Set! Demo Day on March 27, 2020, 20 semifinalist teams from across the U.S. will pitch their solar innovations to a panel of industry experts. At the end of the day, 10 finalist teams will walk home with $100,000 in cash prizes and $75,000 in support vouchers as they continue to the last stage of the competition.

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office and the NREL Solar Prize team will announce the finalist teams on Monday, March 30, at noon ET on a webinar.
