LAB SAFETY & HAZARDOUS WASTE TRAINING HAS MOVED ONLINE!

EH&S is pleased to announce that Laboratory Safety & Hazardous Waste (LSHW) Training is now an online training course in the BioRAFT platform!

Lab workers will now be able to satisfy the safety training requirement by completing a “work at your own pace” online training course. EH&S has worked with a professional video company, Covalent, to produce the video training. The video was then converted to a BioRAFT online course that has been divided into two manageable parts. Viewers will watch 75 minutes of video in Part 1, Laboratory Safety, and 22 minutes of video in Part 2, Hazardous Waste. Knowledge is tested and applied through a quiz at the end of each part. The videos are divided into segments so that content can easily be digested. Provided that the same device and web browser are used, the training can be resumed when stopped. As a bonus, we have included a hilarious bloopers segment from the filming! The new online format is tremendously convenient because viewers can take the training whenever and wherever they like.
