The Underground UG Fruit and Nut Salad Voted Best Salad on Campus

On March 21, 2017, Dining Services hosted its first annual National Nutrition Month Extravaganza, which featured a competition between six of our campus dining vendors for the title of Best Salad on Campus and the coveted Andy Eats Award. Over 200 students, faculty and staff tasted the nominated salads and cast their vote. Ultimately, the Andy Eats Award went to The Underground UG Fruit and Nut Salad. Spinning Salads came in second place with their Thai Chicken Salad, and Rohr Café (featuring Tazza D'Oro) came in third place with their Kale Salad. A big congrats to The Underground and all of our salad nominees!

This was the third Andy Eats Award competition this year. Earlier this year, The Exchange Wall Street Sandwich won Best Sandwich on Campus, and again for the Best Soup on campus with their hearty New England Clam Chowder. The Underground will proudly hold the Andy Eats Award on their location until our next "Best Campus Food" competition.
