Tartan Express Food Truck Reopens with a NEW Menu!

Carnegie Mellon's food truck, the Tartan Express, has re-opened its doors with roti wraps, a new twist on fast, fresh, and flavorful Indian food on campus! The menu will feature made-to-order wraps or bowls, topped with your choice of grilled chicken, shrimp, lamb, chickpeas, tofu, fresh veggies, raita, and chutneys. Smaller $5 options including samosas or samosa chatt will be offered daily, as well as savory sides like Indian onion fritters, masala fries, and chickpea salad. Drinks and desserts will include Indian favorites such as mango lassi, chai tea, rice pudding, and decadent gulab jamun. Find weekly specials on our website or via Twitter.

The Tartan Express food truck is located in the Legacy Plaza between the Cohon Center and West Wing. During the fall semester, the truck will serve lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm and lunch on Friday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Taste samples from the new menu on Wednesday, August 30, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, during the first week of classes!
