Ania is a doctoral candidate in the Behavioral Decision Research program. Her research examines the psychological factors that perpetuate poverty and inequality, as well as how policies can be designed to help people overcome those factors. Her advisors are Linda Babcock, Saurabh Bhargava, Alex Imas, and George Loewenstein.


After receiving her BAs in Economics and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, Ania spent several years working with the federal government on consumer protection and environmental policy. She also consulted for the World Bank's behavioral science group.
