I keep finding my photograph in textbooks and in talks so I thought I'd put them up on my website too. I was photographed by a student of Paul Eckman in the fall of 1968. The photographer was the instructor of a freshman seminar on communication that I attended at the time. I was simply asked to emote fear, sadness, anger, disgust, surprise, happiness and neutral. Claims that Eckman emotional faces are generated by telling the model to move eyebrows this way or that was not true in my case. For those who do not believe that these photos are of me, I've attached a copy of my Stanford Student ID from the same era.
