Making and Fixing Event Files

This creates a text file (.ev2) that lists each marker, related response codes, correct/error, and the time of onset.

The event file has 5 columns:

Since Neuroscan reads all markers as stimulus events, you will have to modify each event file to include responses, accuracy, and reaction times. This is accomplished quite easily with a simple C script Dr. Yeung has developed.

• Open .cnt file
• Click Transforms > Event file
• Select the filename (e.g. DE_S01.ev2)
• Click OK
• Create a text file from the E-prime behavioral data
• Use Dr. Yeung's C script to fix the Event file, using the E-prime file for more accurate reaction times.
