Maggie Lane Rosenblum graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in the History of Science. After working for more than ten years in various capacities for small research firms on Wall Street, she moved to Pittsburgh with her family and earned certification in Early Childhood Education and a Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh. For two years, Maggie worked as a preschool teacher at Temple Children’s Center in Squirrel Hill. This is her twenty-first year at the Children’s School. For the first 10 years, she was a 3’s teacher, and for the past 11 years she has been an Educational Administrator. Maggie will be working part-time for the Children's School this year, and remotely at least for the first semester.
Maggie lives with two cats - Stan and Ollie - and her husband, Mathew, a composer and Chairman of the University of Pittsburgh's Music Department. Their daughter, Anna, graduated from CMU six years ago and is currently living with her brand new husband and working remotely from Tampa, Florida. Their daughter, Sara, obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s GSPIA Program this spring and currently resides in Bloomfield. Maggie enjoys eating dark chocolate while reading mystery novels, and she collects antique three-piece china soap dishes. The Rosenblum family enjoys walking, talking to their cats, and watching BBC mysteries.
