Modern Languages Student Organizations

The Department of Modern Languages encourages its students to seek out opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom to learn about other cultures and to practice their language skills. The Modern Languages Student Advisory Council is a student social organization; the journal Polyglot gives students a chance to read and to express themselves in other languages; and Phi Sigma Iota is a prestigious international honor society that recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding students in academic fields related to foreign languages, literatures, and cultures. Each year, qualified graduate students and Modern Languages majors and minors in junior or senior standing are nominated to the society.Save
