Bio

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia with majors in both Economics and Italian. After a period of time living and working overseas, I returned to my native Pittsburgh to work for a surprise travel start-up, where I spent a fantastic two years helping to grow and develop the company. I left the company in 2018 to complete a Master’s in Italian Language & Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, my thesis for which was titled “Utero in affitto, bimbi da asporto e donne in vendita: Immagini, espressioni e metafore nel linguaggio sulla famiglia nell’estrema destra italiana.” I have been at CMU since 2020 when I joined as a doctoral student in the Second Language Acquisition Program.
