How long have you been at CMU and how did you get here? What (if any) other roles have you had at CMU? What did you do before coming to CMU?

I began at CMU in the beginning of February 2022. I was previously a Program Assistant at Duquesne University where I fulfilled many academic advising duties.

What is something you love about Dietrich College and/or your department?

What I love about the Information Systems Department is that I felt like I fit in right away. We refer to ourselves as the IS Family and I definitely get that vibe from my co-workers!

Please share with us one of your favorite quotations and why you love it.

My favorite quote is “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” by Maya Angelou because it reminds me of my purpose in life and my personal touch.

What was your undergraduate major? How did you end up deciding on it?

I was a Secondary English Education major for my undergraduate. For as long as I can remember I wanted to become a teacher and loved writing, so I thought this was a great way to merge two of my passions.

What activities/hobbies do you like to do outside of work and/or what do you like to do to de-stress or unwind after a busy day?

I like to de-stress everyday by writing in my gratitude journal, meditating, practicing mindfulness, binge watching TV shows, reading, and listening to podcasts.
