Carnegie Mellon University's Creative Writing Program in the Department of English invites you to return to campus for a series of panel discussions, opportunities to meet current students and reconnect with classmates and professors and, of course, a party.

October 25, Thursday

12:00 P.M. - Welcome Back: Location in “The Glad,” 260 Baker Hall

6:00 P.M. - Light Snacks: Location in “The Glad,” 260 Baker Hall

7:30 P.M. - Hollywood PanelFeaturing Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Laura Harkcom, Kai Yu Wu. Moderator: David Gross.

October 27, Saturday:  

11:00-12:30 P.M. - “Teaching as Writers” PanelFeaturing Neema Avashia, Allison Seger, Erin Tocknell. Moderator: Jane McCafferty.

12:00 P.M.  - "What Are You Up To?" Social & Book Signing  

2:00-3:30 P.M. - “Drag Queens and Political Junkies: The Unexpected Life of Nonfiction” Panel: Featuring Elyssa Goodman, Michael Gartland. Moderator: Jane Bernstein.

5:00 P.M. - Keynote Speakers Address: Featuring Elizabeth Currid-Halkett and Javier Grillo-Marxuach.

7:00 P.M. - Closing Party: Hosted by Sharon Dilworth, location at 5811 Howe Street, in Shadyside.
