Bio

I received a Master of Arts in English from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in English and psychology from the University of South Dakota. Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon University’s Literary and Cultural Studies doctoral program, I worked as a research coordinator for a health policy data assistance group in Minnesota. My research in literary and cultural studies focuses on transnational movements and citizenship, especially for women and African Americans. I am also interested in health and healthcare disparities for women and racial minorities.
