Bio

K.E. Shropshire is a PhD Candidate in Literary and Cultural studies. Her research interests include media theory, political subcultures, and conspiracy theories. Her current research is focused on the relationship between the media industry and the political Right from the mid-20^th century to the present, particularly the New Right and the Far Right. She is currently writing a dissertation that examines the ways that the white separatist movement interacted with and was portrayed by corporate media in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as how white separatist groups built alternative media networks for the circulation of racist and anti-government propaganda. She is a Doctoral Fellow with the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right.
