Bio

I'm interested in environmental rhetorics, rhetorics of health and medicine, and rhetorics of the body. My dissertation focuses on the discourse of everyday people living in polluted environments. Using qualitative research methods, I interviewed a variety of people in the Pittsburgh region about their experiences with air and water pollution. Beyond the field of rhetoric, I hope that my work may contribute to conversations in medical humanities, public health, environmental communication, and environmental justice.
