Bio

Pronouns: (she/her/hers)

Originally from Reno, Nevada, I attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as the first person in my family to pursue higher education. Here, I majored in Psychology and Religious Studies, studied abroad in Denmark and Ireland, worked in a Developmental Psychology research lab, and conducted student-led research on the experiences of undergraduate college students enduring homelessness.

My passion for improving students’ access to higher education and support through degree completion began upon graduating with my bachelor’s degree. I eagerly joined the Pennsylvania College Advising Corps, an AmeriCorps program, where I worked with high school students and their families through the college application and financial aid processes. I later earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy from the University of Michigan, during which I worked with both the University of Michigan and the Detroit Regional Chamber to improve resources available to students, schools, and families in navigating the college admission and financial aid processes.

Pittsburgh became my home in 2019, when I moved to the city to become an Academic Advisor. My favorite part of my job is my students!

In my free time, you might find me hiking, baking bread, visiting my favorite Pittsburgh places (Phipps, North Park, and the National Aviary), or hanging out with my two cats, Harper and Biscuit.
