DASH - A Flexible Platform for Data Analytics and Sharing

We’re excited to launch Data Analytics Sharing Hub (DASH). DASH provides a central resource for easy access to data visualizations (a.k.a. dashboards) and reports from CMU’s academic and administrative departments. Campus community members can use this information to discover, share, and guide decisions.

Tableau was selected as the enterprise-wide software for developing and publishing data dashboards, with the only additional costs for Creator licenses to allow you to develop data visualizations from new data sources.

Tableau is an industry leader in data management and visualization and the preferred tool for many universities to share reports and tell their data stories. CMU’s enterprise Tableau license, combined with the launch of DASH, creates a great opportunity for collaboration between academic and administrative departments across campus.

You don't have to give up your existing tools if you already use an alternative system like Power BI or Business Objects. You can still share your dashboards on DASH.
