Register and Manage 2fa Devices

If you get a new phone or upgrade your phone and keep the same phone number, follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication Self-Service (2fa) tool.
  2. Login in with your Andrew userID and password.
  3. Click Reactivate Device.
    Important: Use this option when you upgrade to a new phone (new model/same number).
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Video steps

If you want to add a new device that has not been registered for authentication, follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication Self-Service (2fa) tool.
  2. Login in with your Andrew userID and password.
  3. Click Register New Device.
    Important: If you upgraded to a new phone (new model/same number), use Reactivate Device instead.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. 

Tip! Remove old devices you are no longer using.

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication Self-Service (2fa) tool.
  2. Login in with your Andrew userID and password.
  3. Click Manage Registered Device.
  4. Authenticate with DUO using your preferred method.
  5. Click Device Options next to the device you would like to remove.
  6. Click the Trash button next to the device you would like to remove.

Note: If you have only one deviced registered, first you will need to add another device, then you can remove the original device.

If you authenticate with more than one device, you can specify a default device by following the instructions below.

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication Self-Service (2fa) tool.
  2. Login in with your Andrew userID and password.
  3. Click Manage Registered Device.
  4. Authenticate with DUO using your preferred method.
  5. Select your preferred default device from the Default Device dropdown.
  6. Click Save.

Note: You can also select an option to automatically send a Push to your default device using the When I log in dropdown.

  1. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication Self-Service (2fa) tool.
  2. Login in with your Andrew userID and password.
  3. Click Manage Registered Device.
  4. Authenticate with DUO using your preferred method.
  5. Click Device Options next to the device you want to rename.
  6. Click Change Device Name.
  7. Enter a new name and click Save.
