New Mailbox Created/Copied
You will be notified when the New Mailbox - Create and Copy step of the migration process is complete. Follow the steps below before scheduling the Change Mail Delivery date.
Create a "migration" folder on your computer. Save/export any files to this folder as instructed throughout the process.
Step 1: Signatures
Copy any email "signatures" you created into a text file. Save the file to your “migration” folder.
Step 2: Export Personal Contacts
If you have personal contacts, they will not transfer and should be exported. Search "export contacts" in your email application's help for steps. Save the exported file to your “migration” folder.
Step 3: Export Calendar Data
If you are migrating from Exchange or G Suite @ CMU, your calendar items will not transfer and should be exported. We recommend re-creating recurring meetings. Search "export calendar" in your email application's help for steps. Save this file to the migration folder you created.
Step 4: Google Drive Data
If you previously used G Suite @ CMU, save your files to another storage option
Step 5: Schedule your Change Mail Delivery Date
Visit the Mail Migration Tool
to schedule the date on which mail delivery will change to your new mailbox. Until this date, all mailbox message activity is duplicated in both your old and new mailbox
