Mac Computer Labs Upgraded to Monterey

Our Mac computer labs were upgraded to macOS Monterey for the fall 2022 semester. A few changes with the upgrade will affect how faculty and students work.

• Personal settings like plug-ins, backgrounds, preferences, etc. will not move with you from computer to computer because of changes in the Apple operating system.
• When you use the same computer, settings saved locally should remain until the end of the semester. 
• Some apps like Final Cut and MAYA store settings in a project file. We recommend saving project files to Google Drive, Box, or a USB device.
• Adobe offers syncing and export/import options for many Creative Cloud applications. Follow their guidance so your settings can move with you.
