Have a Tech Question? Ask Scotty.
Scotty joined the Computing Services Help Desk this summer. He’s a chatbot designed to answer your technology questions. Find him on our website by clicking the text bubble icon at the bottom of any page. Please be patient! Scotty is still learning, so if he can’t help, he’ll refer you to one of our human Help Center consultants. Please help Scotty improve his answers by leaving feedback when you end your chat.
In addition to Scotty, Computing Services offers several other support options designed to get you the answers you need, when you need them.
The Computing Services Website
The Computing Services website has how-to documentation for the services we support. You’ll find information to get you started with printing, Google Mail, connecting to the network and more!
To get started, click Search (upper right) and enter your search terms!
Ask the Help Center
If you can’t find an answer on our website, contact the Computing Services Help Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 412-268-4357 (HELP). Telephone and email support is available Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 6:00 pm. If an issue cannot be resolved through email or phone support, the Help Center accepts requests for in-person, scheduled appointments Monday – Friday from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm.
The Help Center’s hours change throughout the year (including during holidays), so be sure to check the Help and Support page for up-to-date information.
