Contributions for the 2023-24 annual membership year are accepted from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. 

Join us to celebrate the diversity and achievements of women at Carnegie Mellon and to build a greater sense of community life on campus! Membership in the Carnegie Mellon Women's Association (CMWA) is open to all faculty, administrators, trustees, and staff or spouses/partners and friends of faculty, administrators, trustees, and staff who support the advancement of women in the university community.

Did you know? 100% of your contribution supports our annual scholarship for graduating senior students at Carnegie Mellon! The suggested membership contribution is $25.00. Your contribution is tax deductible and also counts toward your annual university giving.1


1The university's gift administration fee has been waived. 100% of your contribution will support the CMWA scholarship fund.

Participating in the Rise Against Hunger food packaging event on campus has became an annual tradition, and members are seeking additional opportunities to volunteer in the community.

Cooking Demonstrations

Led by a Culinart chef, the cooking demonstrations are a tasty way to eat lunch together while learning how to cook a meal. Past menus have included simple, heartwarming dishes for a dinner date at home.

Lunch & Learns

We tap into expertise across campus, including from among our membership, for engaging workshops and presentations over the lunch hour. Past topics have included self-defense, productivity and mindfulness, financial planning, nutrition, women's health, supporting the LGBTQ+ community and communicating with power.

The annual spring reception honors seven outstanding graduating women from each of the university’s seven colleges.​ Thanks to the generosity of the CMWA membership, we have been able to present each award recipient with $1,000 to assist with their next steps after graduation.

Hosted at the President's Residence, this much-loved annual event kicks off the fall semester and supports the CMWA membership drive for past, current and new members of CMWA.
