Responsible Party

All events with minors must have a responsible party, who must complete the following tasks:

  • Be physically present for the entirety of the event
  • Diligently make sure all child protection policies, guidelines and protocol are followed
  • Be a designated “Responsible Party” under the registration form (signature required)
  • Have all three background certifications
  • Read all documents provided in registration email before event
  • Have completed specified mandated reporter and child protection trainings

Backup Responsible Party

In the case of an emergency where the Responsible Party will not be able to attend or will not be present for the entirety of the event, the Backup Responsible Party will attend in his/her place in order to avoid cancellation of the event. The Backup Responsible Party has the same responsibilities as the Responsible Party (must be a designated “responsible party” under the registration form, must have all three background certifications, must read all documents provided in registration email before event, and must have completed specified mandated reporter and child protection trainings).
