Nomi Marcus holds degrees in percussion performance from the Eastman School of Music (BM), the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (MM), and The Ohio State University (DMA).  She previously taught percussion at Muskingum University, has performed with the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Westerville, Central Ohio, Newark-Granville, and Springfield (OH) Symphony Orchestras, was the principal percussionist of the McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra (MACCO) in Worthington, OH, and was a member of the Columbus Ohio Discovery Ensemble—CODE – a contemporary chamber group.  Prior to joining CMU in 2019, Nomi was the Performing Arts Program Coordinator and “Victory Drummers” facilitator at the James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, and more recently the Education and Outreach Manager for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
