Bio

Tabitha Klaus joined the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music staff in June 2022. She has extensive arts administration experience, having worked in the industry for 20 years. Most recently, she was Vice President of Orchestra Operations for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to her time with the PSO, Tabitha held positions with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the National Repertory Orchestra.

Tabitha received her Bachelor of Music degree in Double Bass Performance from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Music in Double Bass Performance from Duquesne University.

When not at work, you can find Tabitha and her husband riding their Indian Challenger Dark Horse around western Pennsylvania or hanging out with their long-haired dachshund, Fritz.
