Bio

Rob Sauritch joined Carnegie Mellon University in 2011 as a Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for the College of Fine Arts. He was recently promoted to Assistant Dean of Finance and Facility Operations.

Having worked for several corporations over the years in accounting and finance, Rob’s role prior to joining CFA was with PNC Bank in acquisitions, where he worked on a team to seamlessly merge newly acquired banks. One of his proudest career achievements was working on the new PNC Park project to build a brand-new baseball stadium in Pittsburgh. From groundbreaking to opening day, it was a unique and interesting experience.

At CMU, Rob manages all of CFA’s schools and units through the financial review process twice a year, as well as balancing the budgets and producing updated forecasts for the university. He enjoys utilizing new technologies to streamline processes and mentoring. He thoroughly enjoys working with the schools to meet their needs by serving as business partner to provide financial modeling expertise assessing and consulting about the financial implications of business decisions.

Rob enjoys an active physical lifestyle, including cross fit and running. He holds a Guinness World Record for the longest basketball game ever played! He loves spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He went on to earn his Master’s in Business Administration Degree from Duquesne University, with a concentration in International Business.
