Climate change impacts affect the operation and performance of a wide range of infrastructure and lead to the demand for new or modified designs, adaptation in management strategies, and new technologies. Effects on transportation, energy, building, and water systems, materials, and other infrastructure components are already occurring, and engineers need to design resilient infrastructure that will perform well over a multi-decadal service life.  

As a student in the Climate Change Adaptation for Infrastructure masters concentration, you will learn new skills and tools to meet the challenges of infrastructure in a changing climate including developing new solutions for resilience and designing cost-effective climate-ready infrastructure.
