Wang Named Provost Inclusive Teaching Fellow at Eberly Center
Congratulations to CEE Assistant Professor Jerry Wang who has been selected as one of the 2020-2021 Provost’s Inclusive Teaching Fellows at the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and Educational Innovation.Professor Wang is part of the first cohort of this new program at CMU. The program is designed to create and support faculty in adopting inclusive teaching practices in their classes. In addition to working closely with Eberly Center consultants to redesign their course, fellows participate in a year-long special interest group.
The specific theme this year is to diversify course materials, which encompasses including various marginalized voices in the content, diversifying the kinds of source materials and examples students interact with, and more.
