Sainarayanan Awarded the Parnika ACS Legacy Fellowship

MS student Sadhana Sainarayanan has been awarded the Parnika ACS Legacy Fellowship. Sainarayanan earned her Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai, India.

Sainarayanan, who is in the Engineering & Technology Innovation Management Master's Program, is advised by professor Scott Matthews. Currently, she is working to developing traffic color light detection from dash-cam video streams by creating ground-truth labels for traffic colors and trains aggregated channel features to to detect the traffic light colors in live dash-cam videos.

“I am privileged to receive the Parnika ACS Legacy Fellowship,” says Sainarayanan. “I am extremely thankful to the donors for this benevolent gesture.”

This fellowship was created through the generosity of Parnika ACS Legacy and it was established to help support the graduate studies of highly deserving CIT Master’s students whose primary residence is in India.
