Ibekwe Awarded Miller Presidential Fellowship

PhD candidate Uwakmfon Ibekwe has recently been awarded a Ruth Furman Miller and David H. Miller Presidential Fellowship in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the College of Engineering and the University.

Ibekwe graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Currently she is working with professors Jeanne VanBriesen and Costa Samaras where she is looking at the impact of climate change on drinking water infrastructure.

“I'm extremely honored to receive the Ruth Rurman Miller and David H. Miller Presidential Fellowship," says Ibekwe. "This continued support allows me to successfully pursue my research goals.”

This award was made possible through a generous gift in 2016 from the estate of Ruth Furman Miller.
