Berges Awarded Dean's Early Career Fellowship
Assistant Professor Mario Berges was recently awarded a Dean's Early Career Fellowship from the College of Engineering. The award was established in Spring 2013 to recognize deserving untenured faculty members.
Berges' research group, INFERLab, focuses on researching and developing technologies to improve the operational efficiency, resilience, adaptiveness and autonomy of built environments.
Berges came to CEE in 2006 to complete his graduate studies - receiving his Masters in 2007 and PhD in 2010. Prior to joining the department, he completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and a Construction Management Graduate Certificate program at Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
