Millard McElwee (BS ’15) will be speaking at the naming ceremony for the Jared L. Cohon University Center as part of the Carnival Weekend celebration.

Among the invited speakers, Millard will be representing the student body and will relate how the University Center has impacted his experience as a student at CMU. He will also speak to the friendship he has developed with Dr. Cohon and how he views him as a mentor in his academic and future professional career.

In keeping with CMU’s tradition of naming buildings for former presidents, the naming of the University Center recognizes Cohon’s commitment to the CMU community and to continuing the mission of creating and disseminating knowledge and art through research, creative inquiry, teaching and learning.

The university community is invited to the special ceremony at 12:15pm on Friday, April 11th in the University Center’s Kirr Commons. For more information about this event please visit the Carnival Weekend schedule.
