Ashoori Presents at AWRA 2013 Water For Mega Cities Conference
CEE PhD candidate Negin Ashoori was recently invited to present her research at the American Water Resources Association 2013 Water for Mega Cities: Challenges and Solutions Conference in Beijing, China.

In her presentation, “Water Supply for Los Angeles, California: Sources, Stressors, and Sustainability”, Negin discussed her work in identifying how various stressors, such as climate change, population growth, competing demands, and water quality concerns will impact current and future water supplies in the Los Angeles area. Presently, near 90% of Los Angeles’ water is imported and it’s significant to understand the underlying factors limiting its sustainability.

Negin is co-advised by Professors Dave Dzombak and Mitch Small
