Professional Development Seminar: Tunde Balvanyos
On Friday, April 6th at 4:30pm, Tunde Balvanyos, Supervising Planner with Parson Brinckerhoff, will be giving a department wide professional development seminar in Porter Hall 100. This seminar is open to all CEE undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Tunde Balvanyos is a Supervising Planner in the San Diego office of Parson Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering and program/construction management organization. She has more than a decade of experience in project management, transportation planning and programming, long range transit service planning, and interagency coordination. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, she worked in the public transit sector where she managed the development and planning of bus rapid transit programs. She started her career at The California Partners for Advanced Transit and Highways, University of California, Berkeley, California.
Ms. Balvanyos came to the United States in 1993. She earned a Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in civil and environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. in civil engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. She is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and Programs Chair for the Women’s Transportation Seminar San Diego Chapter.
