Carnegie Mellon University

We are always searching for talented professionals to help guide our current students towards success. As Carnegie Mellon alumni, you understand the academic atmosphere that students are in, yet you also know the professional Civil Engineering environment.

For those who live near the Pittsburgh area, our student groups could gain a lot of insight if you are ever available to speak at one of their meetings. We have both a chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a chapter of Chi Epsilon, the national civil engineering honor society.

Contact Deb Lange for more information about how to connect with these groups.

If you make trips back to Pittsburgh, consider attending a career fair.  You can also participate in the professional development seminars that we hold for students. Contact Andrea for more information.

Internships and Career Opportunities

Our CEE alumni network spans hundreds of different companies and industries. Internship opportunities that you make possible are extremely important for our students. As alumni, you not only give the department greatly appreciated financial support, but you also help our current students to gain experience through internships, and to network and build their own company connections.

Many new graduates end up working within our current alumni network. These placements would not be possible without your continuing involvement and support. If you have an opportunity please contact Lindsay Luciano.

Make a Gift

In addition to donating your time, we also appreciate any gifts you can contribute! Making donations help the department maintain our standards of excellence. Your gifts contribute to elements of our department such as student activities, laboratory equipment, and facility updates.
