The Creative Arts Virtual Career Fair is focused on connecting employers of all different industries with our students interested in creative role. Employers will have the opportunity to pre-schedule group and 1:1 sessions to network with interested CMU creative talent!
We will be using the Handshake Virtual Career Fair Platform for this event.
What is the CAOC?
The Creative Arts Opportunities Conference (CAOC) is an exciting week focused on connecting employers with our students interested in creative industries from the College of Fine Arts and beyond through opportunities including the Architecture Interchange, Design Confluence, HCII Connect, and the Creative Arts Virtual Career Fair!

Virtual Platform & What is Included:
The CMU CPDC is excited to partner with Handshake to run career fairs in a virtual format.
Upon registration, we’ll review the details you submitted for approval. At our virtual event, you’ll be able to engage with students in a variety of formats, including:
- Video, audio, and chat communication with students
- Group meetings with up to fifty students
- 1:1 meetings scheduled in advance or after a group session
- By sharing your values and documentation with students ahead of time
Note: During registration, you’ll be asked to share the number of representatives who plan to attend the fair—up to 100 representatives per employer are able to participate in the fair. Each representative you register will be able to create their own unique schedule to engage with students later this summer. Student Registration & Session Signup Starts:
Thursday, January 21 at 8am EST
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations must be emailed to Janet Vojtash at email@example.com on or before February 4, 2021, for a full refund. Cancellation requests after February 4 for event registration, additional representative fees, and/or interview table(s) will not be refunded. All unpaid registration fees are due upon cancellation.
No-Show Policy: Career Fair "no-shows" are responsible for their entire registration fee and are not eligible to roll the registration package over to another event. To avoid being considered a no-show, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and cancel no later than February 4, 2021. All unpaid registration fees are due immediately.
