Statistical Computing for Biological Sciences

In this course, first-year Ph.D. students in the biological sciences will learn how to analyze data and basic to intermediate level programming in R. Students will learn skills for data analysis, sampling and study design in general and in biological sciences, probability theory, and statistical inference. This course is appropriate for all incoming biological sciences Ph.D. students who want to learn or review programming in R and/or statistical inference. Students should also take 03-702: Data Analysis for Biological Sciences after completion of this course.
