Robert Bly

The legendary poet Robert Bly founded one of the twentieth century's most influential journals, then called The Fifties, in which he introduced American to whole new worlds of tonality and perception with his translations from the Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, and Japanese. His volume of poetry The Light Around the Body won the National Book Award in 1967, and his groundbreaking work Iron John: A Book About Men has been an international best-seller since 1990. He lives with his wife, Ruth, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
