Director's Message

Welcome to the online home of the University Center at Carnegie Mellon University. Opened in August 1996, the University Center is a mixed use building intended to serve the body, the mind and the spirit. A distinctive feature of the University Center is its openness and easy access from one part of the building to another. It is intended to provide a welcoming and inclusive gathering place for all members of the university community. There is recreation fitness equipment available for the campus community, including a full size gymnasium and swimming pool. The center also provides diverse programming and many convenient services.

We hope to see you in the University Center where you can experience its offerings first hand. Whether you take a campus tour or enjoy a film in our 450 seat state of the art theater or have a meal at one of our dining outlets or stop by our retail shop for Carnegie Mellon apparel.
