Great Decisions webcast: Cuba after Castro

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

6:00-8:00pm, Porter 100, Gregg Hall

What are the challenges and opportunities in reopening ties with Cuba?

Since Fidel Castro handed over the presidency of Cuba to his brother Raúl in early 2008, there have been mixed messages of change and keeping the status quo in terms of US-Cuban relations.  Will Raúl seek to reopen ties with the U.S.? What role will Cuban-Americans play in shaping a post-Castro Cuba?

Great Decisions, part of the Passport to Global Awareness course, is webcast by the World Affairs Council. For more information on Great Decisions 2009 - Discussion Groups, please visit the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh website.
