This two-part anime film series is based on the popular semiautobiographical manga of Keiji Nakazawa. The films follow 6-year old Gen after the bombing of his home city, Hiroshima.  Doherty Hall 2315. 7:00 pm.

Sunday, October 2: Mahatma Gandhi Birthday Celebration

Lecture:  “Gandhi’s Legacy of ‘Satyagraha’ in the Modern World”
This community event will include cultural performances, interfaith presentations, and a talk by Dr. Uma Majmudar, Ph.D., a Gandhian researcher and published author based in Atlanta, GA.

Presented by the Alliance for Humanitarian Initiatives, Nonviolence and Spiritual Advancement (AHINSA) and various other Pittsburgh partners including Carnegie Mellon University, this event will celebrate Mahatma Gandhi as a global humanitarian figure.
