Shin-ichi Tanabe, Ph.D., is a Professor at the Department of Architecture, Waseda University. He is an expert in the fields of indoor air quality and thermal comfort. He received the R.G. Nevins Award from ASHRAE in 1989, and the Prize of Outstanding Research from the Architectural Institute of Japan in 2002. He is serving as President of ISIAQ Academy of Fellows. He worked at the Technical University of Denmark as a guest professor during 2002-2003. Recently, he received ASHRAE's (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers) Fellow award.
