Dr. Julianne Malveaux is the president of Bennett College for Women. Recognized for her progressive and insightful observations, she is also an economist, author and commentator.

The campus community remembers Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 17, 2011. The day’s events will include a Carnegie Mellon State on Diversity address by President Jared Cohon, readings of creative works and presentations of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Writing Awards, the Community Collage, a Candlelight Procession and a keynote address. All students are encouraged to apply to become the MLK Student Speaker during the selection process in the fall semester.
