Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behavior, Carnegie Mellon; Bridge Builder; Founder of AudeatInternational; Formerly Senior Executive in various international business roles.
My journey is still evolving – across boundaries and cultures, professional and social sectors, disciplines and roles. It encompasses the poles of action (business), reflection (academia) and diplomacy (political communication). Major habitation stops so far:
- Developing a worldwide strategy “International Political Affairs” for one of the world´s largest automotive suppliers
- Leading the Carnegie Bosch Institute for Applied Studies in International Management (CMU), a joint endeavor of business and academia, to new shores
- Providing a global business player of more than 200,000 people worldwide with strategies and services so that both executives and staff would be able to show the appropriate qualification, motivation and authority to perform
- Acting as cultural spearhead of one of the leading high end car manufacturers in managing its role as international sponsor of the arts
- Serving as chief of protocol in the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bonn), preparing the floor for international heads of state and other dignitaries
- Exploring the power and risk of logical thinking and convincing rhetoric by applying it to the workplace
- Co-founding a family of four and evolving into the role of wife, mother, manager and coach
- Probing the impact of globalization on the personal level: balancing business in Asia with family in Pittsburgh and origin in Europe
- Exploring the world through the eyes of the humanities with an academic focus on English Literature and Philosophy (M.A., Ph.D.)
Stories unfolding with values to trace and mental models to detect - this is what I am looking forward to - and by this to share the implicit logic of my journey which was not based on a plan, but part of an entelechy design unfolded into the open en route.
